NEW TO YOGA?
Everyone is a beginner at first!

I welcome all newcomers to my yoga classes and ensure that everyone gets the most out of their classes, even if some postures are challenging at first. There is a perception that all yogis are fit, young women - but the reality is that everyone can benefit from yoga (and, in fact, most of the ancient yogis were men!)

You can start to practice at any age and any level of fitness, although you may want to check with your doctor before starting my yoga programme, if you have any concerns.

You don’t have to be able to touch your toes, sit in the lotus position, or stand on your head, to come to a yoga class.  Although you may find that you can do all of these things after you’ve practiced yoga for a while.

Unlike some other hobbies and sports, you don’t have to buy any expensive equipment before you start practising yoga. Yoga is practised in comfortable clothes (gym wear is ideal), and bare feet, so you don’t even need any trainers.
