LINDA AND YOGA

I have been practising yoga since 2000.  I was keen to explore all that yoga had to offer and experimented with various different disciplines of yoga, from the very physical and demanding Ashtanga, the slower and more meditative Hatha yoga, and also the currently fashionable Jivamukti yoga which combines a yoga practice with music.

I maintain a disciplined Ashtanga practice while regularly attending other classes to bring a mix to my own experiences.  Since 2007, I have travelled every year to India, staying on an ashram in Kerala and attending various retreats in
Goa and North India, working on my own practice and understanding of yoga.

In 2008 I qualified as a teacher through the British Wheel of Yoga, a national charity which offers comprehensive yoga teacher training.  I continue to develop a style of teaching that draws on my broad and deep experiences of yoga.  I am sensitive to the differing needs and abilities of my students and adapt the focus of each class accordingly. 

My career in retail banking has developed in tandem with my yoga training and practice.  My experience of the corporate world not only provides me with a level of empathy with busy and often stressed office workers, but I am also testament to the power of yoga in maintaining serenity in a demanding work environment.
